ABOUT THE RAISEBORE GROUP
The Raisebore Group of Companies are a privately owned group that have operated for over 30 years, providing specialised services to the mining industry across raiseboring, diamond drilling, and underground mining throughout Australia.
THE OPPORTUNITY
We are seeking a highly skilled Underground Raisebore Rig Fitter, trade qualified person to join our workshop team based in Lonsdale South Australia.
In this hands-on role, you will be responsible for the service, repair, and preventative maintenance of the Raisebore fleet and associated plant and/or equipment.
The successful candidate will be required to travel to sites as needed, pending operational requirements assisting with breakdowns and preventative maintenance.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- System Diagnostics: Perform advanced fault-finding across interconnected mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems.
- Troubleshooting: Interpret technical schematics to assist in identifying root causes of equipment failure.
- Repairs & Maintenance: Execute efficient repairs on diesel engines, hydraulic pumps, cylinders, and auto-electrical wiring faults.
- Compliance: Complete accurate documentation regarding service logs, diagnostic reports, and parts requirements.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:
- Relevant Trade Qualified Certificate [Heavy Mobile Equipment / Heavy Diesel Fitter / Heavy Commercial Vehicle].
- Must have experience in maintaining heavy mobile equipment and candidates applying with maintenance experience on raisebore or diamond drill equipment will have an advantage.
- Highly Advantageous: Proven experience in diagnostic, fault-finding, and troubleshooting across hydraulic, electrical, and diesel systems.
- Strong analytical skills to assist in reducing equipment production downtime.
- Valid Australian Driver’s License [HR licence desirable].
WHAT WE OFFER:
- Highly Competitive Remuneration: $70 to $80 per hour [depending on experience and trade qualifications].
- Modern Facilities: Working in a safety focused environment.
- Monday to Friday roster, however, this may be negotiated.
- Fulltime employment. [minimum of 40 hours per week]
- Work alongside experienced long-term raisebore maintenance personnel who will assist with developing your raisebore drill knowledge.
