The Raisebore Group of Companies is a privately owned company that has operated for over 25 years, providing specialised services to the mining industry across raiseboring, diamond drilling, and underground mining throughout Australia.ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY Reporting to the Managing Director and working closely with the Group General Manager, this is a hands-on position that will be responsible for performing a broad range of Financial and Project Accountant tasks across our 3 mining contracting businesses (Raisebore Australia, DRC Drilling, and 360 Mining).The right candidate will have a solid understanding of high-level accounting practices and ideally will have project accountant experience in the mining/construction industry. Some of the responsibilities will include but not be limited to; Responsible for coordinating the preparation, analyzing, and interpretation of all financial reports that are required across the Group; Oversee and be willing to assist with accounts payable/receivable functions as required; Develop practical financial processes that complement the business's operations to mainstream data input for reporting to Senior Management; Working closely with Senior Management you will be responsible for ensuring the various monthly project claims across the Group are processed within a timely manner and payments are managed; Assist the Operations teams as required to prepare and invoice end-of-month claims; Ensure compliance whilst closely partnering with our external Accounting firm.  ABOUT YOUTo be successful in this role, you will have or demonstrate; Accounting qualifications (Degree & CA/CPA completed/commenced); At least 10 years in an accounting position and ideally have project/operational accounting experience in the mining/construction industry; Highly experienced with all Microsoft Suite applications, especially Excel;Ability to work autonomously with the initiative to get in and get it done; Experience in leading month-end reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and analysis; Experience with MYOB is an advantage, but the right candidate with have the drive to familiarise themself with any system and find ways to improve it; This will be a challenging position, so you must have persistence and resilience! All candidates must have a legal right to work in Australia and we are not accepting applications from recruitment agencies. WHAT CAN YOU EXPECT FROM US?A full-time position with job security - we want you to be a long-term member of our team; Be supported by our Senior Management team and external Accounting firm; A residential, Monday to Friday position based out of our Somerton Park Head Office in South Australia (Adelaide) and be home every night with your family!A highly competitive salary, reflective of your experience and this position's accountability. Want to find out more? Apply NOW via the links to our careers page or for a confidential discussion phone Cara Jordan, Group HR Business Partner on 0448 404 458 or 08 8358 4444.  AUD Somerton Park 5044
