THE OPPORTUNITYAs our operations continue to expand, we have an exciting new opportunity for a Supervisory Raisebore Driller based in WA but prepared to travel interstate as required. You will lead underground raisebore drilling operations with a focus on safety, efficiency, and environmental responsibility and be prepared to drill yourself as needed. You’ll manage a skilled team, oversee drilling processes, and ensure strict compliance with safety and regulatory standards. Your role will involve optimising drilling performance, maintaining equipment, and mentoring offsider drillers. Your key responsibilities will include:Oversee and direct raisebore drilling activities, ensuring alignment with project specs and company standards.Lead and mentor drillers and offsiders, providing training and feedback.Conduct performance evaluations, implement corrective actions, and enforce safety protocols.Lead daily briefings, communicating project goals and safety expectations.Supervise raisebore rig operations, ensuring efficient shaft creation and adherence to specifications.Monitor and adjust drilling parameters, troubleshoot issues, and oversee critical tasks like collaring and reaming.Enforce safety policies and conduct regular equipment inspections.Lead risk assessments, encourage a safety-first culture, and ensure PPE use.Coordinate with engineers and maintenance teams for smooth operations and problem-solving.Assist in planning and optimising drilling programs, and maintain detailed records of progress.Supervise routine maintenance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure adherence to OEM instructions.Ensure minimal environmental impact, supervise waste management, and comply with regulations. ABOUT YOUTo succeed in this role, you will need:High-risk work licences: Dogging, Rigging, and Elevating Work Platform (self-funded, required).Work Safely at Heights qualification (required).Extensive experience and proficiency in raisebore drilling operations and equipment.Basic mechanical skills, with a strong understanding of mechanical, hydraulic, drilling, and electrical systems related to raiseboring.Valid manual driver's licence and ability to drive manual vehicles.Valid First-Aid and CPR certification, and a National Police Clearance.Supervisory experience in underground mining environments (preferred).Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word).Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills, especially under pressure.Strong communication and leadership abilities.Physically fit, capable of working in confined spaces, at heights, and in challenging underground environments.High attention to safety and operational procedures.Willingness to work rotational shifts, including nights, weekends, and public holidays, and to travel to remote sites within WA and interstate as required.PPE compliance required (safety glasses, hard hats, gloves).Valid working Australian working rights without restrictions BENEFITSAttractive salaryPermanent full-time within a growing businessDiscounted airline club memberships and Frequent Flyer bonus points!Generous employee referral program, our employees are rewarded for helping us find great talent!Uniform suppliedCareer development opportunities. ABOUT RAISEBORE AUSTRALIARaisebore Australia (RBA) stands as the largest privately owned raiseboring company in the country, delivering specialised services to both Australian and international mining sectors.
